Right then, that's it from the coverage of this game. Dindigul win the contest and move to fifth in the points table. Tiruppur, on the flop side are still teetering at the bottom half of the table. Hope they are able to get back to winning ways soon, rather than later. The action in TNPL 2024 will continue on 18th July, which is also going to be the final match played here in Coimbatore. It will see Salem Spartans taking on Chepauk Super Gillies. The match will start at 7.15 PM IST (1.45 PM GMT). As you'll know you can join us early for the build-up. ADIOS! TAKE CARE!
Subodh Bhati wins the PLAYER OF THE MATCH AWARD FOR HIS OUTSTANDING EFFORT WITH THE BALL IN HAND. He says that his only plan was to follow the batter, and go ball-by-ball and according to the conditions.
In the first innings, the story was quite similar. The IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans struggled against the new ball but later on the runs came. Sathvik took his side to a competitive total but that did not prove to be enough.
IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans began well with the new ball but they'll be disappointed with how the spinners bowled. The likes of Sai Kishore and T Natarajan just weren't at their best. The two overs from them towards the middle overs is what cost them the game.
A fine chase by the Dragons! They paced it really well despite losing a couple of wickets early. It came down to them needs by almost 10 per over but Baba Indrajith and Boopathi Kumar batted brilliantly. The former played second fiddle to the left handed who really took the attack to the bowlers. They also ensured they stayed there till the end and finished the game.

Kumar gets down on one knee once again and gets it done for his team. Dindigul Dragons win the match by 8 wickets. Boopathi Kumar goes for the slog sweep again, and it has enough height on it to beat the fielder in the deep.

The keeper gathers it and appeals for a caugth behind. Sai Kishore takes a review for the same. The UltraEdge confirms that no bat is involved.
