Alex Carey has now been presented the trophy and he along with his teammates can now celebrate! That is it from our end for this series. We hope you enjoyed our coverage, please do join us for the games which are going to be played ahead. Till then, goodbye and take care!
Alex Carey says the commitment the group has shown is really good, the T20 series did not go their way but he is pleased with this performance. States it is very exciting to captain your country and it was a good team effort, the chase was a little bit ugly but on such a wicket it is fine and he is happy they bounced back strongly. Mentions the bowlers work really hard, they know their skills and it is good to have them in the side. Ends by saying, he has a lot of support throughout this series and he is very pleased with a series win.
Mitchell Starc, Man of the Series, says there have been plenty of ups and downs and he feels bowling is their strength as there is experience but the batting learned from the last game and did well. Adds it helps with Josh Hazlewood bowling from the other end, who is excellent and the spinners too are really good. Also says it is nice to do it against the Windies in Windies and he is pleased to contribute.
Kieron Pollard says they did not bat well, they did the hard work initially but then later on lost too many wickets, 153 was never going to be enough. States it has been challenging for them, they have not batted well in this series, both teams struggled on this wicket which was not a good pitch. Adds Akeal Hosein delivered, Hayden Walsh and Alzarri Joseph were also good. Ends by saying the Aussies were better and he hopes to concentrate on the games coming ahead
Ashton Agar, Man of the Match, says he always tries to do something special but it was an honor to give his brother the cap and he loves him. Mentions it was good conditions for the spinners and it was all about hitting the right lines and lengths. States it is always good to do it in a decider and he really wanted to win and he feels great. Ends by saying it is very special, the conditions were not easy, you do not get a lot of pitches like that and he hopes they get more such pitches.
Stay tuned for the Presentation...
The Windies' bowling wasn’t that bad. Akeal Hosein was once again impressive, Hayden Walsh also had a decent outing. However, the pacers conceded far too many runs and that too quickly which just took the game away from them. Also, that drop of Alex Carey quite early in his innings also cost them. However, their batters let them down, they just did not have enough runs on the board.
After their bowlers with a combined effort, restricted the Windies to a low total, it was just about batting smart and that is what a few of their batsmen did. Yes, they did lose wickets at regular intervals but Alex Carey, Matthew Wade and Ashton Agar really played spin well and took their side over the line. The plan to keep sending left-handers when the spinners were bowling turned out to be a master stroke.
A very comfortable chase in the end for the Aussies and with that effort, they have not only won the game but also the series.

DROPPED AND FOUR! Fifty for Wade! He would have been gutted with himself had he been dismissed on that ball. Immediately after playing the shot, he looked up in disappointment as he knew he was a goner but he got lucky. A full toss on off, he lofts it straight towards covers. Bravo there lets it through his hands and to the boundary. A really good innings, he played with a lot of responsibility and has played a vital role in taking his side over the line. SCORES NOW LEVEL!
