Presentations coming up...
Earlier in the game, South Africa Women got off to a good start but once the opening stand was broken, the wickets kept on tumbling for them. Tazmin Brits played well and scored 45 runs. Australia Women were excellent with the ball and managed to restrict their opponents to a par score of 124 runs.
South Africa Women looked good at the start and chipped three wickets in a jiffy. They lost momentum after that and just couldn't get the wicket after that. They got Tahlia McGrath at the very end but the damage was already done. Marizanne Kapp was the only economical bowler and she chipped two wickets for the team. Masabata Klaas and Nonkululeko Mlaba picked one wicket each but were a bit expensive, keeping in mind the total they had on the board.
Yet another scintillating win for the Australia Women and they have booked their place in the semi-finals. Having to chase a par total. They got off to a shaky start and were reeling on 40/3 inside 7 overs. Ashleigh Gardner and Tahlia McGrath joined hands then and made sure they finish off the game. The former scored 28 runs while the latter went on to score 57 of just 33 deliveries. They won the match comprehensively by 6 wickets with 21 balls to spare.
