It was actually a good toss to win for the Lankans. With dew playing its part, Bangladesh had to score above 300 but at one stage they were 189 for 6. If not for the knock from the tail and Towhid Hridoy, they would have ended up well below 250 but still they had enough runs on the board. The bowlers started well but as the game progressed they lacked energy. Only in the last 10 overs they started to show some fight but till then the damage was already done.
Sri Lanka level the series. Anything under 300 and Sri Lanka had the chance of chasing it down. They still had a job in hand. Sri Lanka lost 3 wickets inside 7 overs. However, then came the big and match-winning partnership for them. Pathum Nissanka and Charith Asalanka joined hands to put on 185 runs. Nissanka scored a wonderful ton but Charith Asalanka missed his by a few. Both fell at the back end and Sri Lanka lost a couple more but Dunith Wellalage and Wanindu Hasaranga did the job for them.
