Right then, that is all we have from this Oman Quadrangular series 2022 and it is United Arab Emirates who have clinched this series. They will be pretty proud and pleased about their performance in the series and would like to build on this in future. There is plenty of cricket action going around in the world. So do join us for for that. Till then, goodbye and cheers!
Andy Balbirnie, the skipper of Ireland, says that they were atleast 20 short and it was their worst batting display of the series but the bowling and fielding effort was too notch. He adds that they want to build a competitive side and give more and more players to show their capabilities. He also mentions that they have another tournament coming up with some competitive sides in the mix and they will look to give their best.
Dipendra Singh Airee is the Player of the Match. He says that parctice has helped him and he is playing well. He mentions that he likes batting more.
Sandeep Lamichhane, the skipper of Nepal, says that the middle overs were crucial and the Irish bowlers bowled really well. He adds that they just couldn't get a move on and the whole side should learn from Airee on how to bat on this surface and hails his bowling as well. He ends by saying that they had a lot to learn from this match and are looking forward to the tournament ahead.
Stay tuned for the presentation.
Nepal would have felt super confident when they restricted a good batting opponent to a below par score of just 128. They had the batting prowess but unfortunately none of them could fire. Airee tried his best to hold up one end but no one could give him ample support. In the end, it was a desperate and scrappy attempt from Nepal but they fell well short. An excellent tournament from them nonetheless and they will gain a lot of experience from this series.
What a brilliant encounter we have witnessed here! Ireland were under the cosh and had their task cut out in front of them. A stellar bowling and fielding display has seen them notch up a clinical win but unfortunately it wasn't enough. UAE still have a better run rate and will go home with the series win. UAE were disappointed early on not being able to seal the deal against Oman and had to rely on this match. But overall they have been the better side and beating Ireland was the big moment, a moment that win them the series probably.

OUT! CAUGHT! The skipper departs now and Ireland have pulled off a very good bowling performance here. Short delivery on off this time by Adair. Sandeep Lamichhane pull this but fails to get enough distance and finds Shane Getkate at deep square leg. An inspired bowling performance by Ireland and Nepal after playing so well are falling short here.
