Right! That's all from this game! Barbados Royals get their first win of the tournament while Jamaica Tallawahs have lost their first. The CPL action continues on Sunday as Saint Lucia Kings go up against Tribago Knight Riders. The action begins at 1000 local (1400 GMT). Do join us then. Cheers and take care.
Jason Holder says that he is relieved and the bowlers played a big part. Adds that the partnership between Phillips and Reifer was brilliant. Tells that they are trying to find what is best for them. Goes onto say that they never know what to expect in terms of the pitches and the batters need to spend time and they can score runs then. Adds that Reifer is a big player for them and he has done it for them a lot of times and it is good to see him succeed.
Rovman Powell says that they lost the game with the ball as they gave away some runs towards the end. Adds that they fought hard with the bat but it was not to be. Tells that they want to be more smart in the middle overs.
Raymon Reifer, the MAN OF THE MATCH, says that when he first came in, he was looking to knock around the ball and he told Glenn to get as many runs. Adds that for him, it was about executing his plan and hit the right areas. States that it means a lot to have his family at the ground and he is very happy.
Earlier in the day, after electing to bat, Barbados started off brilliantly but then lost their way completely. Glenn and Reifer though took them to a really good total which they managed to defend easily.
Holder and Amir were really good in the Powerplay and the two set the tone. Reifer and Thomas then continued the good work. Walsh was also decent in the middle. Overall, it was a combined effort but Reifer surely was the pick of the bowlers. He bowled some wides but he bowled according to plan and he was superb.
A really good effort from the Barbados bowlers, especially against a side who scored over 250 in the last game. You need to pick wickets against the long, power-packed Jamaica batting lineup and that is what Barbados did. They had 4 within the Powerplay and also did not let them score freely. There was then a partnership between Brooks and Braithwaite which did get Jamaica back into the game, but quick wickets of Russell and Brathwaite completely changed the equation. Brooks then had to play a magical knock with the lower order. He did try but it was too much of an ask.
