That is it from this game! Peshawar Zalmi will take on Islamabad United on 23rd Feburary at 7.30 pm IST (2 pm GMT). Do join us early. Till then, cheers!
Mohammad Rizwan is the Player of the Match. He first thanks the crowd for the support. Adds it was a good wicket to bat but the spinners bowled well. Credits his bowlers to the way they bowl. Feels they were 10-15 runs short.
Imad Wasim says they had the game in the bag but he couldn't finish it off. Adds they have to analyze and just have to believe and control what they can. Feels if they loss one more match they might be out of the competition.
...Presentation time...
Earlier, the show was lightened up by Mohammad Rizwan and Shan Masood as they scored runs freely. Masood scored a fifty while Mohammad Rizwan went onto score a century. The fielding of the Kings and the wicket of Vince was a turning point for them.
This could have been a comfortable win for Multan Sultans but the way their last two overs went, Karachi Kings got their hopes back again and took the last ball. After Vince's wicket, Sultans had the game but Mohammad Ilyas gave away 18 runs, Abbas Afridi was given the last over and after the no ball, he did well to keep his nerves.
At one point when James Vince got out, the way the game was going on, it felt like there is only one winner but Imad Wasim kept the hopes alive. Malik fell and Ben Cutting tried his hard but it was Wasim who was there till the end but it was just too much for him to chase this down. We feel, the run out of Vince was the turning point of the game. He could have changed the scene of the game if he was still out there in the middle.
What an epic game of cricket! Till the last over it was hard to take your eyes away! Ohh boy, T20 cricket never disappoints anywhere in the world. Karachi Kings, what an effort but in the end in vain.
