Right then, that is it from this T20 World Cup warm-up match. Australia have got their World Cup preparations underway in fine fashion that too without most of their main squad which is a huge positive for them and they will be facing hosts, West Indies in their next warm-up game. You can simply switch tabs and keep an eye on the other warm-up games. Until next time then, take care and goodbye!
Earlier in the game, Mitchell Marsh won the toss and put Namibia into bat first and his decision was backed up right away by Josh Hazlewood who bowled an unreal spell inside the Powerplay, picking up a couple of wickets for no runs. The other bowlers kept the intensity up and Australia were able to get wickets in the middle phase as well. However, a counter-attack in the latter stages led by Zane Green ensured that Namibia not just got over the 100-run mark but a few more runs. However, it still wasn't anywhere enough as Australia wrapped up the game with half the overs to spare in what was a morale-crushing defeat for Namibia.
As for Namibia, it was a big lesson as they did come into this game on the back of a fine win against Uganda but against the big boys, they still need to be a lot more clinical and decisive with their planning and execution. The start with the ball wasn't a good one and Ruben Trumpelmann was all over the place trying to just bowl quick. There were some positive signs though as the spinners got a bit of purchase from the deck and picked up a couple of wickets as well. They will now look to learn from this game and make a few tweaks heading into the main event.
Now, that was a scintillating batting performance from Australia and they have overpowered Namibia with quite ease. Chasing a paltry total of 120 runs, Australia got away quickly but it was in the third over when Mitchell Marsh really went after Ruben Trumpelmann and the Aussies got 21 runs from that over. Soon though, Marsh was run out and then Josh Inglis too came in and went quickly. David Warner started quickly but didn't get much of a strike during that phase. However, he took matters into his own hands as Tim David played a small cameo at the other end before getting out. Warner ended up with a fiery half-century and along with Matthew Wade sealed the win in exactly just 10 overs with Warner remaining unbeaten on 54 runs off just 21 balls.

FOUT! That's it, Australia have won and David Warner has finished proceedings in fine fashion here. On the shorter side and outside off, Warner latches onto it and cuts it past point for a boundary. Australia win by 7 wickets!

SIX! Over the fence. 50 up for Warner too. This is short and on middle. It is pulled over the mid-wicket fence. Two more needed. Can he end it in this over?

FOUR! Comedy of errors! Runs needed below 10 now! Angled into the pads. This is clipped between deep mid-wicket and deep square leg. Both go for it but in the end, leave it for each other, it ends up trickling over the fence.

FOUR! 100 up! Just the 17 needed now. Full and on the pads. Warner looks to sweep, this goes off the inner half past short fine leg and down to the fine leg fence.

OUT! TAKEN! David holes out! Slightly short and on middle. David pulls but quite flat. He does not get the elevation he wanted. The fielder at deep mid-wicket takes an easy catch.
