Nurul Hasan the skipper of Rangpur Riders says that they are happy with the win but they need to focus on their batting a bit more. Adds that their bowling was excellent and ends by saying that Babar Azam and Azmatullah Omarzai were excellent.
Azmatullah Omarzai is the player of the match for his knock of 47 runs. He says that he is very happy with the win and that he batted with Babar Azam as well. Adds that they kept it simple and rotated the strike well. He says that he was ready for the lose balls and ends by saying that they will look to carry on with the same momentum.

Earlier in the game, the Rangpur Riders bowled and fielded well, with Mahedi Hasan and Ripon Mondol taking 2 wickets each, and Mohammad Nabi and Hasan Murad taking 1 wicket each. The Sylhet Strikers scored 120/8, with only 3 batters reaching double figures. Benny Howell and Benny Cutting had a 50+ run partnership, helping the team reach 120 after reeling at 39-5 in the 9th over.
The Sylhet Strikers bowlers came out of the innings break with a good morale and continued to build pressure on the opposition. Dushan Hemantha got 3 wickets and he was the pick of the bowlers. Nazmul Islam, Richard Ngarava and Tanzim Hasan Sakib picked up one wicket each. They just fell short of 20-30 runs in the end!
Rangpur Riders seal their first win for the tournament! They were off to a shaky start as they lost a few wickets early on in the innings. The poor form of Brandon King continued to trouble him and he was dismissed for a duck. The other batters also couldn't contribute much but Babar Azam held one end of the innings firmly and he was well supported by Azmatullah Omarzai. They stitched a partnership of 86 runs off just 68 balls. Babar Azam scored 56 while Azmatullah Omarzai scored 47 and both remained unbeaten till the end!
