Presentations coming up...
Earlier in the game, the Ranpur Riders scored 155, thanks to Iftikhar Ahmed's unbeaten 47 and a quick 41 runs off 24 balls from Nurul Hasan. The Sylhet Strikers started strong, but the Riders faced early setbacks with Tanzim Sakib troubling Alex Hales and Al-Amin Hossain taking two crucial wickets in one over. Iftikhar revived the innings with a good partnership with Khushdil Shah before building momentum with Nurul. Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Al-Amin Hossain picked two wickets each for the Sylhet Strikers.
Rangpur’s bowlers, particularly Nahid Rana and Khushdil Shah, excelled with their disciplined bowling, consistently applying pressure and taking key wickets at crucial moments. Nahid Rana picked up four wickets while Khushdil Shah and Mohammad Saifuddin chipped in with two each.
In a pivotal moment in the 15th over, Khushdil Shah struck by dismissing Rony Talukdar, which shifted the momentum firmly in favor of the Rangpur Riders. Shah nearly completed a remarkable hat-trick, but Samiullah Shinwari managed to retain his wicket after a successful referral. Following the fall of Talukdar, Jaker Ali also fell in the 16th over, and that is when they lost the game.
The Sylhet Strikers began their innings well, with Rony Talukdar providing a solid foundation alongside his partners. However, the batters at the nonstriker's end kept on losing wickets. Jaker Ali entered the crease and played a crucial role in stabilizing the innings, however, despite their efforts, the required run rate continued to climb, putting additional pressure on them.
What an impressive bowling performance this has been from the Rangpur Riders! The match remained evenly poised until the latter half of the second innings, when the Riders took control. Sylhet Strikers will be unhappy that they lost momentum and lost the game.
