Right then, that is all we have from this second ODI. South Africa have levelled the series with a comprehensive win in this encounter and we will now be moving to the SuperSport Park, Centurion for the decider. That game will be played on Wednesday, 23rd March. It is a day-night fixture and it will start at 4.30 pm IST (11.00 am GMT). As you know, our coverage will start well in advance. So do join us for the same. Till then, goodbye and cheers!
Temba Bavuma, the South African skipper, says that his finger is bit sore and it will be clearer after the scan. He adds that that resilience is a big thing for them. He mentions that they need to begin the series well though. Tells that bowlers bowled well at the upfront and that gave them momentum. He applauds Quinton de Kock and says that he played quite well. Tells that Centurion will be a much truer pitch to bat on and they will take confidence from this game forward.
Kagiso Rabada is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH. He says that he is happy with the win today and also with his performance. He mentions that the pitch was a different one from that of the last match and they got purchase early on which helped him get the wickets in the Powerplay. The pitch afterwards though got better for batting and their bowlers had to use their variations. He also adds that you have to try and keep it simple and not be too aggressive as that can back fiore and hence he stayed away from the short ball today.
Tamim Iqbal, the Bangladesh skipper, says that the wicket was uneven and it was a bit difficult. Adds that they bowled well but still made some mistakes. Mentions that given the wicket 100 would have been difficult but 194 could have been defended. Lastly mentions that they cannot take this game lightly and need to improve for the final game.
Time for the presentation.
Quinton de Kock then, set the stage on fire with a classy knock. His half-century with a strike-rate of over 150 meant that South Africa were never really put under pressure in the run-chase. Bangladesh did managed to get rid of both openers eventually, but a matured stand between Bavuma and Verreynne made sure that South Africa go about their business in a clinical fashion. Overall a dominating performance by the hosts and two of their biggest stars, Rabada and Quniton De Kock played a major role in this thumping win.
The tone of this comfortable South African victory, was set in the early overs with the new ball by their bowlers as they grabbed five Bangladeshi wickets in quick time. Bangladesh were always behind the 8-ball after that and even though they got to a respectable total in the end, due to some handy knocks from Afif Hossain and Mehidy Hasan, South Africa were always favourites to win this game coming into the second-half.
South Africa is a proud cricketing nation and they have made a strong statement here with a clinical performance in a do-or-die game. They level the series now and more importantly have got those crucial World Cup Super League points, they desperately needed from this game. Bangladesh, on the other hand, will be disappointed with this performance and they would eye a better show in the decider now.

FOUR! That's it! Rassie van der Dussen has finished things off in style and South Africa have made it 1-1! This is short and wide, Rassie hangs back and slaps it through covers for a boundary. The hosts win comfortably by 7 wickets!
