Dasun Shanaka says it was crucial to get the two points. Adds the wicket was not easy to bat but Nissanka and Asalanka batted really well. Informs they were looking for a score of 280. Reckons they are playing positive cricket and are getting results. Shares it was important to get Maheesh Theekshana early on with the ball. Tells they are not worried much in the bowling department.
Richie Berrington says they utilized the early ball movement and started well but the middle phase didn't go their way. However, they were happy to keep Sri Lanka near 250. On Greaves, he says the situation demanded for him to come so late in the game with the ball. Reckons it was just not their day, they have batted well throughout the tournament.

Scotland were in the game at the break. They did well to keep the Lankans below 250. Apart from Pathum Nissanka and Charith Asalanka there was no major contribution from the Lankan batters but they were definitely in the game knowing they had some mystery spinners. On the other side, One big stand would have certainly helped Scotland to take this game deep but in the end, it was just Chris Greaves who with his fifty, batted a lone battle with not much support.
That was quick work from Sri Lanka. Apart from that one stand between Chris Greaves and Chris Sole, it was all Sri Lanka right from the start. The mystery of Maheesh Theekshana and Wanindu Hasaranga was too hot to handle. The Scotland batters came in, missed out and went back one after the other. Maheesh Theekshana though was the main architect of this downfall. The Lankan bowlers continue to flourish with the ball in this tournament.
