Right then. That is all we have from this clash. But we have one more exciting clash coming our way. Khulna Tigers will take on Comilla Victorians in the last league stage match. It will start at 5 pm IST (11:30 am GMT) but join us in advance for the buildup. See you there!
Afif Hossain, the skipper of Chattogram Challengers, says that they needed this win desperately. Says Jacks played really well and his knock won them the game. Adds it was not an easy chase here but they kept believing and they did it.
No surprise that Will Jacks is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH! Jacks says they needed a win and he tried to take ownership and wanted to stay there till the end. States the pitches have been good, he needed a little time to adapt and it was all about hanging in there. Also says Shamim Hossain and Chadwick Walton played really well.
Ravi Bopara, the skipper of Sylhet Sunrisers, says he thought it was a very good total, it was not an easy score to chase down in Dhaka and Chattogram Challengers needed someone to play something special and Jacks did. Adds he felt he had enough runs but they do not have the depth in their bowling and that is the department they have struggled in this tournament.
Stay tuned for the presentation.
Sylhet Sunrisers would be disappointed. They had a good score and got wickets at the right moments. But the key prized wicket of Jacks was not within their reach and that hurt them. The late cameo by Shamim Hossain also made it very difficult for them. Alauddin Babu and Sohag Gazi got a couple of wickets each but it wasn't enough. It was a brilliant effort by Jacks that took the game away from them. He scored 92 in 57 and won the game for Challengers.
Chattogram Challengers needed a good effort at the start to chase it down and they did get one. They were 60 for 2 at the end of the Powerplay and the stand between Will Jacks and Chadwick Walton was the key in the middle phase. They added 69 runs and got their side in a comfortable position. They were separated in the 12th over thanks to some brilliant work by Ravi Bopara but as long as Will Jacks was there, Challengers were in control. He was joined by Benny Howell and they added 35 runs in no time and got Challengers closer to victory. Howell fell in the 16th over and 43 runs were needed in 27 balls. Then, Shamim Hossain scored a quickfire 21-run cameo from 7 balls to make sure that Chattogram Challengers get over the line.
Chattogram Challengers have done it! They have qualified for the playoffs by winning this important game! They had a big total to chase but have done really well. A tough loss for Sylhet Sunrisers and their season ends with a loss.

Jacks makes room and he is followed. It hits the pad of Jacks and rolls on the leg side. Given as runs, so maybe there was some bat on it.
Who will bat now? Akbar Ali it is. He is not on strike though.

OUT! TAKEN! Not sure if this was needed from Hasan. Shorter and on middle, Hasan pulls, it goes off the top edge towards short fine leg. The fielder runs back, circles under it and takes it. Good catch by Mizanur Rahman.
