Right then, that is it from this thrilling game where Dhaka Capitals just edged past Sylhet Strikers. Don't go anywhere as we shift our focus to the clash between Durbar Rajshahi and Chittagong Kings starting in a short while. You can just switch tabs to enjoy all the build-up to that match. Cheers!
Thisara Perera, the victorious skipper of Dhaka Capitals is also the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his all-round brilliance. He says that he is finally happy that after losing so many matches, they finally got a win and it was much needed. Mentions that in the first half, the pitch was tough to bat on. Adds that if you keep wickets in hand, the powerhouse later in the batting lineup can get them going which was the case here. Further mentions that the bowlers bowled good lines and lengths to keep the batters at bay. Adds that the chat was that if anyone in the middle order clicks, then it would be very difficult to get them out. Concludes by saying that as an all-rounder, he is happy with his performance.
Ariful Haque, the captain of Sylhet Strikers says that when the asking rate touches 16-17, it becomes difficult to chase and they needed boundaries on every ball. Adds that when Rony Talukdar and Aaron Jones were batting, they played a few dot balls, but still things were under control. However, they got out at the wrong time which put pressure on them. Ends by saying that, they needed more than 20 runs in the last and they gave their best but just could not get over the line.
Presentation Time...
Dhaka Capitals will be thrilled with this hard-fought win. The Fizz and Mosaddek Hossain set the tone early with a couple of quick strikes, and though wickets dried up in the middle overs, the bowlers kept it tight. The turning point came when skipper Thisara Perera brought himself into the attack, removing both set batters with a brilliant spell. His sharp captaincy and calm leadership in a tense finish, despite some late pressure on Mustafizur Rahman, ensured they got over the line.
Earlier in the game, Dhaka Capitals put up an imposing total, thanks to a blistering half-century from Litton Das and a fiery late cameo by skipper Thisara Perera. Tipu Sultan and Samiullah Shinwari were the standout performers with the ball for Sylhet Strikers, each claiming two wickets. However, the rest of the bowling unit struggled, particularly in the death overs, conceding a costly 81 runs in the final five overs.
With plenty of runs still needed, skipper Ariful Haque stepped up and took the initiative, joined by Jaker Ali in an effort to accelerate the chase. The duo managed to produce a few big overs, with Samiullah Shinwari also playing a few lusty blows towards the end, keeping their hopes alive. However, their dismissals at crucial moments proved costly, leaving the team agonizingly short of the target by just six runs.
Sylhet Strikers started steadily despite losing a couple of early wickets, with Rony Talukdar continuing his fine form and Aaron Jones offering solid support from the other end. However, Jones found it challenging to accelerate during the middle overs. Just as the duo began to shift gears, their promising 80-run partnership came to an end. Both batters were dismissed in quick succession, with Rony departing after a well-crafted half-century.
DHAKA CAPITALS WIN A THRILLER! In a nail-biting encounter, the Capitals have kept their season alive, securing only their second win of the campaign. This match had it all - twists, turns, and a constant shift in momentum. While one team had to face heartbreak, the Sylhet Strikers went down fighting, delivering a valiant performance that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

FOUR! Dhaka Capitals has won this game by 6 runs! Goes fuller, outside off, Ruyel Miah makes room and then slices it over cover for a boundary to end the inning. It was an exciting chase and in the end, Fizz has done it for his team.
Ruyel Miah walks out to bat now.
OUT! RUN-OUT! ANOTHER WICKET! Mustafizur Rahman bowls a yorker, wide outside off, from over the wicket, and keeps it away from the arc of the batter. Sumon Khan tries to dig it out but misses as the ball goes behind the keeper. They want to change the strike and thus run off for a single of byes. The keeper collects the ball and makes a direct hit at the batter's end. Samiullah Shinwari is well short of the crease. The umpire is checking for the not-out and has been sent it to upstairs. The replays confirm it, Shinwari is well short and he is gone.

Sumon Khan is the next man in. He needs to a couple of sixes to get his side home or one six and a boundary for a Super Over.
OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! MUSTAFIZUR HAS GOT THE BIGGEST WICKET OF THIS MATCH! He bowls another full toss, but a bit high this time, wide outside off, from over the wicket, going away with the angle. Ariful Haque moves across and then looks to take it on to the leg side. He doesn't cover the line of the ball and because of the high full toss, neither he is able to keep it down nor does he get the elevation to get good timing. The ball hits the sticker of the bat and skews up towards the back to the bowler where Mustafizur Rahman runs in forward and takes a simple catch. He also dislodges the bails at the non striker's end in case if it it is called a no ball later. The umpires have sent it upstairs to check. The third umpire is convinced after seeing the replays that it is an out. Is it a match decisive moment?

Is that a No Ball? This is a huge call for the umpires with the game on the line. It has been sent upstairs to check whether it is a beamer or not. After a couple of replays, the umpire deems that the batter bends down to play that ball and it is not above the waist height. A massive wicket for Dhaka Capitals.

A low full toss again but wide outside off, keeps it away from the batter, Samiullah Shinwari makes room and slaps it hard but towards the fielder at sweeper cover for a single.
