However, they got to that score mainly because of a fiery unbeaten 51 off just 24 balls from Mahmudullah towards the end. Benny Howell was the standout bowler for Sylhet Strikers with three wickets while Nayeem Hasan and Richard Ngarava chipped in with one each.

Sylhet Strikers needed a good start but they were far from it as they lost Najmul Hossain Shanto quite early on. Shamsur Rahman played a few lusty blows but holed out too while the skipper promoted himself but could not make much impact. Then it was up to Zakir Hasan and Benny Howell who struggled initially but steadied the ship with a good partnership of runs which kept them in the chase. They gave some hope to the team and put the pressure back on the opposition. However, after their dismissal, none of the others batted with conviction and fell like nine pins. Another loss for Sylhet Strikers in this tournament and they are still searching for that one win.

A comprehensive win for Fortune Barishal as it was a team effort! Mehidy Hasan set the tone for Fortune Barishal by getting a wicket in his first over after getting hit for a few runs. Mohammad Imran followed it up with two quick wickets. Then they let the opposition build a partnership. However, it was Mohammad Imran again who broke it and Mehidy Hasan followed it up with another to send both the set batters back.  After that, it was very comfortable for them as they bowled the opposition with ease. They didn't allow anyone from the tail end to settle down and cleaned them up with quickly. A combined team effort to ensure their second win in the tournament.
