Right then, that's it from the coverage of this game. The action in the Hundred Men's will continue on 27th July 2024. It is going to be match number 5 where London Spirit will be locking horns against Birmingham Phoenix. The first ball will be at 11.05 pm IST (5.35 pm GMT). You can join us early for the build-up though. ADIOS! TAKE CARE!
Chris Green is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his stellar all-round showing. He says that it was a lot of fun and he really enjoyed his first taste of The Hundred. Says that the coach told him to pad up and is happy that it came off. Tells that he enjoyed bowling on this surface which was conducive to spin. Further says that he tried to hold his lengths and if you tried to spin, there was enough help on offer. States that he has only been with the team for five days and has enjoyed his time. Ends by wishing the Trent Rockets good luck for the rest of the tournament.
They usually say a star player is irreplacable in the side, but that isn't the case here for Chris Green, who came into the unit for just a single game replacing Rashid Khan. He made a huge impact in the very first game but is forced to pack his bags and leave the side. It was Green's cameo with the bat of 7-ball 25 which took the game away from the opposition, as it was a daunting target to chase down. Later on, he took a sensational catch in the field to see the back of the opposition skipper, and then eventually put the game to bed with the ball in hand as he stood out with his three-wicket haul.
'One brings two' was the Trent Rockets' mantra, but they took it further, securing wickets in quick succession to turn the game in their favour. Chris Green was the star, delivering two sets of 10 balls and effectively ending the run chase with three wickets and a catch. The Northern Superchargers went from a steady 41/1 after 25 balls to a precarious 67/7 in the next 35 deliveries, with not much going their way after the Powerplay, barring the late burst from Ben Dwarshuis and Matthew Potts who were scoring runs for fun and added some respect to the scoreboard.
The Trent Rockets were brimming with confidence at the innings break, but the mood shifted dramatically as the Northern Superchargers took to batting. Ollie Robinson and Graham Clark provided a strong start, capitalizing on their strategy to aggressively tackle the new ball. Both openers set a solid foundation and seemed poised to finish the Powerplay without losing a wicket, but Imad Wasim managed to make a crucial breakthrough, potentially impacting the Superchargers' mindset moving forward.
THAT'S IT! Trent Rockets record a win against Northern Superchargers here. They were dominant throughout this contest and they deserve to get over the line here. Although, credit to Northern Superchargers who were able to bat whole innings and not give up.

FOUR! Lovely shot! All these runs will be handy for Northern Superchargers in the context of NRR later in the tournament. Wood slips in a slower delivery and keeps it away from the reach of the batter. Ben Dwarshuis reaches out and holds his shape to go inside out over cover for yet another boundary.
